I walked into work on Friday morning and my co-worker's lovely outfit instantly reminded me of a book cover. I, of course, had to pull it up on my computer and show her, and she agreed. And like a champ, she also agreed to let you all see as well. I present:
Jasmine as 'Rebel Belle' (which is kind of an apt description anyway...) ;)
{The tagline says: A lady never starts a fight...but she'll finish it. Ha, love it!}
This made me think of other possible book/outfit pairings, so over the weekend I scoured my closet and bookshelves. None of them are quite as perfect as Jasmine's, but I did my best. Enjoy!
If you look closely, you'll find the cover model is also wearing black and white sneakers.
So my bird isn't quite to scale-- shoot me!
Actually, looking at this shirt doesn't make me happy, as it no longer fits anymore. *inverted smile*

love love this post--such fun pairings. I would have thought of Rebel Belle if I saw your co-worker too! I saw this cover the other day and it is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Rebel Belle. I've read 2 books of Rachel's Hex Hall series, and they're so funny. But yes, this book just calls to me- I want to read it while eating Hummingbird cake, lol!
DeleteYour coworker is so pretty.
ReplyDelete99% of my days I'm dressed like I slept in my clothes. The pitfalls of a stay-at-home mom and writer. I'm impressed your clothes coordinate with the books.
Jasmine is very pretty- and super awesome too! And, yeah, I'm usually all about being comfy. =)
DeleteOh my gosh, I LOVE THIS!!!! You paired them so perfectly!! I need to read those books...
ReplyDeleteThanks, glad you liked it!

DeleteYou are the QUEEEN of pairings, Leandra. Desserts and books, now clothes and books. What's next?
ReplyDeleteI will take being the queen of anything! Well...maybe not, that could be bad in some cases, lol!
DeleteHa ha - I like your Hunger Games :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! ;)
DeleteOh my goodness! That's classic. What a novel thought: dressing like a book...
ReplyDeleteFun, right?!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Marcia!

ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Kimberly!
DeleteI love these! I've never thought about the relationships between book covers and my outfits before, but I think it'd be fun to see if I can spot any. Great job!
